Meet Hilary – Counsellor for Women
Hi, I’m Hilary
I support women who are often holding everything together on the outside, while quietly struggling on the inside. Maybe that’s you. Maybe you’ve been showing up for everyone else while feeling overwhelmed or unsure of what’s next for you.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent 30 years in senior management roles across both public and private sectors. That time gave me an understanding of the pressures women face, especially when we’re trying to do it all. I know what it’s like to juggle work, family, health, and the needs of others, often putting ourselves last in the process.
I’ve navigated relationship and family responsibilities, cared for aging parents, and faced my own health challenges. I bring lived experience into my sessions, along with a calm, compassionate approach that meets you where you are.
My focus is on supporting you to reconnect with your clarity, direction and purpose. My approach is compassionate, collaborative and practical. I’ll walk alongside you with care and guidance, and provide tools that can help you make meaningful changes in your life. We’ll go at your pace, without pressure or judgement.
Qualifications
My qualifications include a Diploma of Counselling and a Bachelor of Business, along with Reiki healing and Shiatsu Therapy. I currently volunteer with Griefline as well as Delta Therapy Dogs; two roles that keep me grounded in community and connection.
Outside of my work, you’ll often find me walking with my dogs by the beach, spending time with family and friends, or simply enjoying a quiet moment to myself with a cuppa.
If my story resonates with you, I’d be honoured to support you.
